  • this family company has been absolutely killing it in manufacturing for years, but their online presence was not cute at all. their current website had not been updated in years and they had no way to receive online orders for their wholesale customers who desperately needed to reorder products and get quotes on custom specifications. i was excited to jump on this opportunity to represent such a well known company and do the honors of helping translate their brand online.

  • i dove deep into understanding their incredibly complex product specifications and catalog system that was honestly a bit of a mess. then i designed custom product pages that could actually handle their extensive spec lists without looking chaotic or overwhelming. the real challenge was creating exclusive features for wholesale members only while building a quote system for custom specs that doesn't make users jump through a hoops. plus i integrated 3d file downloads in multiple formats because why limit options when you can streamline everything.

  • we're still working on launching this beast, but i successfully designed a platform that bridges old school manufacturing with modern e-commerce design. no more endless phone tag for simple reorders. the system i created is totally scalable and can handle their complex b2b customization needs while keeping things exclusive for their wholesale accounts.

  • working with 2 backend engineers who handled all the api magic and database architecture was clutch. our web design intern helped streamline ui implementation and knocked out visual assets. the company president brought wokholding manufacturing expertise and business requirements. he kept us all focused and made sure we weren't designing something that looked cool but missed the mark.

speedgrip’s current website

the president really loved the content, pictures and colors on the current website, but wanted something more elevated. the current website's ui/ux was severely dated and needed a modern revamp. the current experience lacked a streamlined approach to ordering products and had no way to fulfill or track orders online.

speedgrip’s current catalog website

the president needed something quick and cheap to showcase their catalog, so he hired a few engineers to put their entire catalog on a separate website. while the ui was better than before, the new catalog website ux was all over the place and confusing to navigate. because there were no account requirements for wholesale customers, they had no way to see pricing or submit custom quote requests.

speedgrip’s new website

while their new website is still a work in progress, i was able to successfully optimize the product listing ux to a more concise and organized flow. i even incorporated the ability to view 3d files straight from the product images and the ability to download any documentation or 3d files the customer could possibly need.

i also added an account requirement that made it easy for customers to shop, view prices, and quickly request custom quotes. i customized the checkout experience to fit the business's order fulfillment setup, including adding in specialized fields for wholesale customers.

this is an ongoing freelance project that i'll continue working on for about 5 more months, after hours. the goal is to deliver a cohesive e-commerce platform that elevates their manufacturing expertise and provides a streamlined experience for their customers
